This highly research-based project looks into the Indo-Caribbean community of Queens, Separated into two parts. Part one, Queens research. Part 2 Community research and design. My particular innovation was centered around establishing a local library that was filled with self-produced cultural books surrounding the underrepresented community. Also giving space for other amenities they need in the city.
A long with focus to on the community there was also a focus on the industry of bookmaking and the ideas of recycling paper. The entirety of the project became a self-oiled machine of local paper recycling that would then be treated and recycled into a new paper that would create these local books that spread word of the community. By the community for the knowledge of others.
